1. Ban all stock trading.
2. Ban all participation in prediction markets.
3. Mandatory retirement at 75 years old.

5. Ban all foreign gifts to public officials, including foreign investments in their businesses or other entities.

I think Cruise radiates movie star charisma. Love him or hate him, he financially keeps a lot of Hollywood afloat now. As for Pitt, I think he was superb in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, burned through the screen with sex appeal in Thelma and Louise, and was great in Fight Club (even if the movie didn't quite add up). Would they endure in the era of Newman, Redford, Grant, Stewart, etc.? Possibly not. But right now, I think they are among the few real stars left.

Absolutely -- very well stated. I get tired of this relentless labeling that goes on today in pop culture. Despite superficial "progressivism," it seems now that there is this weird, suffocating need to put every artist in a little box, slap a label on it, and assign them to the appropriate political folder. The same thing imo happens with the John/Paul fans who are determined to Figure Out What Was Really Going On Between Them. All of the guys you mention were artists and iconoclasts, not activists.

I have been more than willing to join the social media chorus criticizing Harry and Meghan, who imo have pitched an 8-year fit through the media. That said, this moment is almost heart-breaking in a "the man behind the red curtain" kind of way. What on earth was he thinking from the moment of that ridiculous "freedom flight?" The wheels are coming off, now.

Gonna have to go with Stevie. She can be floaty and annoying sometimes but that bespoke stage persona she built is one for the ages. It absolutely nailed LA in the late 1970s, still works today with some smart modifications, is sexy, cool, holds its own onstage with the big boys, and cleared a lot of space for the girls to be big-time rock and roll stars, too.

I distinctly remember an episode of SNL when it used to be good that had Mike Myers popping up periodically in a sketch to say, "I'm Irish. Don't ya care?" He sounded just like Bono and it was lol funny. You are, however, absolutely correct. Who could care about that vicious, petty little country now? I find what has happened to it politically over the last 20 years to be unfathomable.
