Dear Friend,
With a heart full of love and a deep desire to share the life-changing truth of the Gospel, I write to you today. My hope is to encourage you to seek the true Jesus Christ of the Bible, who alone offers salvation through faith, apart from human traditions or works.
The Bible declares that “there is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10), and all of us have sinned. Yet, God, in His mercy, sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who died once for all to pay the penalty for our sins (Hebrews 9:28). Scripture is clear: Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was complete and sufficient—He does not need to be re-offered daily, as the Catholic teaching of the Eucharist suggests. Hebrews 9:28 tells us that Christ will return a second time, not to deal with sin, but to bring salvation to those who trust in Him alone. He will return bodily to the Mount of Olives after the tribulation (Acts 1:11), not in a wafer or through a ritual.
The true Gospel calls us to come to Christ with empty hands of faith, repenting of our sins and placing all our trust in Him alone (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9). The apostolic teachings, delivered to the first-century church (1 Corinthians 11:2, 2 Thessalonians 3:6, Jude 1:3), are found in Scripture alone, not in later traditions added by the Catholic Church, such as infant baptism or the veneration of the Eucharist. These practices, rooted in human tradition rather than God’s Word, can lead people away from the true Christ. For example, Jesus taught that the Lord’s Supper is a remembrance of His sacrifice (Luke 22:19), not a literal re-sacrifice, and He emphasized spiritual truth over physical rituals, saying, “The flesh counts for nothing; the Spirit gives life” (John 6:63). In John 6:40, He promises eternal life to those who behold and believe in Him, not to those who rely on sacraments.
I believe, with great sorrow, that the Jesus of the Catholic Church is not the Jesus of the Bible. The Catholic Church’s reliance on bishops, who sit above Scripture, and traditions like the Eucharist or infant baptism, which are not supported by God’s Word, leads people into a false understanding of Christ. The early church had elders, not bishops as the Catholic Church later established (1 Peter 5:1), and practiced believer’s baptism for those who consciously trusted in Christ (Acts 10:47). To be in Christ, one must be born again through personal faith and repentance (John 3:3), something an infant or a ritual cannot achieve.
My heart aches to see sincere people caught in practices like adoring the Eucharist, which can become idolatry when it replaces worship of God alone. The Bible warns against being unequally yoked with beliefs that deviate from the truth (2 Corinthians 6:14). Jesus calls us to love God above all, even above family (Luke 14:26), and to hold fast to the truth of His Word. Those who trust in the true Christ are made new creatures (2 Corinthians 5:17), with their sins nailed to the cross (Colossians 2:13-14). Romans 8:1 proclaims, “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” This is the freedom offered to those who believe!
I urge you to ask yourself: Are you truly in Christ? Have you repented and placed your faith in the Jesus of the Bible, who saves by grace through faith alone? The Catholic Church, since the time of Constantine, has drifted into apostasy by blending pagan traditions with Christianity, creating a system that obscures the simple Gospel. But Jesus is a merciful Savior who invites you to repent and believe while there is still time (Acts 3:19). Do not rely on sacraments, rituals, or church traditions—come directly to Christ.
This is the greatest news you will ever hear: Jesus Christ loves you, died for you, and offers eternal life if you trust in Him alone. I share this in love, praying you will open the Scriptures and test everything against God’s inerrant Word.
In Christ, Stephanie
@howertonjosh@HistoryBoutique@TimDavidBarton If someone uses that label, you can simply respond: I am a Christian whose faith shapes my values, and I love my country. Period. If that’s what you mean, I’m fine with that. If you mean something else, I’d rather talk about what I actually believe than about LABELS.

It is God’s will to save, heal, and deliver ANYONE who will accept Christ as the Lord and Savior of his/her life, believe the Word, live according to the Word, and act on the Word of God with the special faith that comes by hearing God’s Word. (
