Today i had a pretty good conversation with two friends about $SI.

One of them thinks attention coins trade like a bouncing ball. every catalyst creates a bounce, but each bounce gets smaller until attention eventually moves somewhere else.

and honestly, he’s been right about the trade so far. selling each spike would’ve worked better than sitting around waiting for a fixed target.

My only pushback is that a bouncing ball is a closed system. no new energy can enter it.

This market isn’t.

Another elon tweet might create a smaller bounce, sure. but china using SI, another major country adopting it or a company actually changing its branding isn’t just “another elon tweet.”

That would be completely new energy entering the system.

Then another friend said we’re both thinking too much about the short term. his point was that $SI isn’t really a catalyst coin. it’s an adoption trade.

Maybe price isn’t struggling because the thesis is dead. maybe it’s struggling because most people still think the whole AI/SI transition is a temporary trump and elon joke.

If that’s the case, the current disbelief is basically future bid.

Seeing good narrative traders like @theunipcs remain bullish is part of why he thinks this can reach nine figures and potentially become the first $1b meme of the cycle.

Obviously none of that is guaranteed, and bigger traders holding something doesn’t prove the thesis by itself. but when people who are genuinely good at identifying narratives early continue to hold through this kind of price action, it’s still worth paying attention to.

The US already made SI official, federal agencies have to implement it and elon is taking the transition into SpaceXSI.

If the rest of the world starts responding, especially countries like china, this stops being a series of tweets and starts becoming a global language race.

To maybe all three takes can be right at the same time.

Short term, the trade has been bad and every bounce has been sold. medium term, the market still doesn’t believe the change will stick. long term, one genuinely new catalyst can change the entire regime.

Right now we still have to explain the $SI thesis.

If this plays out, the headlines will eventually explain it for us.
