Two universities, two courses and 5 years later, I’ve been told I have insufficient marks available to confirm I’ll graduate in August.
@BristolUni what are doing to ensure I do graduate? No mention of talking to @Bristol_UCU in the apologetic email from @evelynwelch2013
Amazing✊
Students have stood with us every step of the way, and we are so grateful ❤️
They know, and we know, that the bosses can end this dispute tomorrow

As part of our in person event on 28 July, we're really happy to be hosting @GenderStir's Darren Elliott-Smith! Elliott-Smith will deliver a keynote lecture on the intersections between mental health and queer horror cinema, including THELMA and HYPOCHONDRIAC. #fear2000 🏳️🌈
When @LudoCaminati showed solidarity with @UCU at graduation he was 'mistakenly' censored - then a clip of his protest went viral. It wasn't the first time @StirUni stifled his support for @UCU_Stirling.
The story of his action and the slogan it created:

Pleasure to join @BBCBreakfast to talk about the chaos happening in British universities at the moment.
“I’d rather have a degree than @UCEA1’s thoughts and wishes” 👇🏼
After teaching through the pandemic without missing a single class, then teaching when my mum was dying without missing a single class, to be threatened with 100% dedications for 6 weeks because I haven’t done 1 week’s marking is cruel, vindictive & frankly unforgivable.
🚨Breaking news🚨
We are pleased to announce that, after intensive talks over the last few weeks, @UniofBath have announced that they will not be deducting salary from those taking part in the Marking and Assessment Boycott from July 1st until the end of the ballot period.
@ucu
Some universities are deducting 100% of staff pay for taking part in the marking boycott
Share if you think employers need to stop and settle the dispute

We continue to sound the alarm 🚨🚨🚨 over how questionable mitigation measures for assessments are threatening the validity and robustness of the academic process we all hold dear. All to undermine our boycott. A few more developments to be aware of… 🧵👀👇
Staff in some schools told they now require permission from the ‘College Heads of Communications and Marketing and Student Recruitment’ (?) for any comms with students about their results. Is this because @cardiffuni doesn't want students learning about how some were derived?
A work of fiction. The judges did not find in favour of the LGB Alliance. The judgement is available to read. Judges found that one charity could not appeal against another charity’s status under current law. They castigated the Alliance for its abusive behaviour online.
