It appears the answer is “no.” It is such a shame. Over the last 30-40 years the number of my friends on the left has just evaporated. What was once great lively debate between friends with differing views, just disappeared-“poof”.
The people didn’t change much- the politicians did.
Many of my liberal friends did eventually morph into libertarians, a few even “saw the light!” and came to espouse conservative ideals and principles. But alot didn’t. They disappeared in the darkness.
To answer your question more directly- I think John Fetterman is an example currently. How long will he be allowed to be a normal, decent human being? I think he is edging closer to entertaining the possibility of a party change…. ;-)

At this point, any Senator who is gaveling in, instead of refusing to gavel in, is actively helping Thune and the Uniparty sabotage President Trump’s ability to make recess appointments.
