I taught the children how to say no to strangers today, then decided to give them a little test.
I gave someone a lollipop to take to Eden (I left the kids inside the car), the person returned with Ezer.
Eden exchanged his brother for LOLLIPOP!
As we celebrate International Youth Day;
Ntoma NOT Ankara
Koose NOT Akara
Tie and Dye NOT Adire
Banku/Fufu/Tz NOT Swallow
Chaley/Jack/Boy/Sister NOT Omo
STICK TO YOUR ORIGINAL GHANAIAN
WAYS
Call out horrible service in a restaurant “oh you want to spoil their business”
Call out the government “oh you’re part of the opposition party”
Call out bad behavior “oh you’re jealous”
Someone said Ghanaians have started calling fufu “swallow” 😩.
Pls let’s not. The sha, the omo, the puff puff, the Ankara… they’re not for us.
This is promoting someone else’s culture not ours.
Nothing from Parliament, the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, NCCE, CHRAJ or the female law makers. Nothing from the religious bodies or the political parties.
Just an apology that starts with ‘my attention has been drawn to’.
ideally, at the very least, that man would be enrolled in a program supervised by the chief whip of whatever sides he's on/some other authority in the house. he'd be in the program until he demonstrates understanding that what he did was beyond awful + clear change in behaviour.
Right message, wrong application/direction. Your child was not in crop-top but was still approached by men. Clearly shooting yourself in the foot here. You don't have to add your voice to anything you see. You make people attack Christians for absolutely no reason. 🤦🏾♂️
Too many topics for discussion on the TL today 💀💀
If you know you didn’t pay attention in reading and comprehension class, don’t speak on any of them. Keep quiet before you expose yourself.
