General Arlis Boardingham

Defending the Plains like the boys of 1910. No quarter for the Tide. Ever to conquer, never to yield. Onward. #Auburn

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
It is indeed a good morning as we journey home as more than conquerors! The strangest occurrence appeared to us on the trail as we observed a combustion engine vehicle full of bullpups being apprehended by local authorities. Reckless indeed.
Anywho.
Onward.

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
We attacked in broad daylight and we were the last men standing! A monumental Vict’ry for our cause. Sweet sounds of hushed voices and disappointment rang out from their people.
I’ve heard tales of war here before and now the Deep South is ours!
Onward.

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
We will soon arrive in Athens, a great city known for its architecture and intellectual philosophy. We are sure to encounter gladiators on city patrol. Our plan will be to enter at early afternoon when daylight is plenty.
We take the fight to them!
Onward.

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
There’s a storm rolling in, but this is not regarding weather. Consternation brews among our brothers, but I know we share the goal of leaving this place better than we found it. We stand together, united.
Onward.

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
Our efforts fell short as we advanced into the woods. We were surrounded on the ground by the second half of battle. I was able to sneak behind enemy lines for an aerial strike, but I’m afraid it was in vain.
We retreat for a time of healing.
Onward.

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
We have made our trek into the foothills of Appalachia. The sounds of banjos, hounds and riflemen ring out from the Summitt. We will ford the river and make ourselves known in short order.
We are ready.
Onward.
-Arlis

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
Sweet, sweet Vict’ry reigns through camp again! Toiletries were thrown even into the trees!
Intel proved inaccurate as our opponents were but astute students of medicine and philosophy.
We advance into the mountains at week’s end.
Onward.

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
Cool, crisp weather has arrived on The Plains and I feel alive again as we begin a new season! With these new winds from the north I’ve heard a report of an armada setting sail on land toward our encampment.
Aurea patrols the horizon as we wait.
Onward.

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
Our village was overrun by the southern invaders. Defense systems proved ineffective to the waves of the swamp that rolled in. Morale is low, but we will dig ourselves out of this mess left behind.
We prepare for deeper waters.
Onward.
-Arlis

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
We see their eyes lurking just above the wake. We will not blink first.
We wait for nightfall.
Onward.

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
News has broken that my former comrades are advancing on our territory from the Everglades.
Friendships have turned foe.
Familiarity is now fierce.
Freedom is fearless.
Swamp creatures have no place in The Jungle. A reckoning is upon us.
Onward.
-Arlis

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,

We have tasted Vict’ry yet again!
Intel proved false on our so-called adversary as a waddling of fowl enjoyed a peaceful evening on Lake Martin. They must have been deterred by the weather.
Around here we know a thing or two about War and Eagles.
Onward.
-Arlis

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
It has been reported that a flock of Golden-plated Eagles are currently crossing the Mississippi en route to the plains. Field General Brown has recalibrated his rifle as an aerial attack will be key. We are ready.
I will defend my home.
Onward.

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
The dust has settled in the coliseum and we reigned victorious! Intel of rabid black bears proved inaccurate as small cubs emerged from Texas. Airborne defenseman Winters was vital to our cause.
Atlanta is ours! We hope to return at season’s end.
Onward.
-Arlis

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
We have arrived in central Georgia and it appears that the Germans have prepped the grounds for battle. I’ve heard rumblings that bears will be accompanying our foes from Texas. We are watchful.
Onward.
-Arlis

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
I have been obsessed with battle preparation over the last few weeks. My mind is calm. My rifle is ready.
We are ready to take Atlanta.
-Arlis

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
Classes have begun. Auburn is a fine institution! My studies are crucial and a sound mind is of the utmost importance, but I can’t help but wonder what lies beyond these walls as we journey to Atlanta for battle in just a few short weeks.
Onward.
-Arlis

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
After our friendly skirmish today, Commander Golesh told local newspapers of my promotion to the 1st Airborne Squadron. My skillset will prove vital to our future successes. My head is down and I remain focused in restoring Glory to the Plains.
Onward.
-Arlis

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
Today the entire platoon had a skirmish amongst ourselves. Both offensive and defensive regiments proved to be effective as we preemptively test ourselves for battle. Though downtrodden, our men are buying in and we will be better for it .
Onward.
-Arlis

[General Arlis Boardingham @GeneralArlis]

Dearest Mother,
I have risen from the ranks of Private to General in very short order. Though my title has become more prestigious, I remember my raising and will continue to be a man of the people. Preparation for battle continues.
Onward.
