NEW BRITISH RECORD PIKE
A new British record pike has been caught by Lloyd Watson from Chew Valley Lake.
The fish weighed 47 pounds and 5 ounces - a trout water beast🔥
Many congrats to Lloyd who recently posted that he is a fan of Rod Race. Thankyou Lloyd and you must still be on cloud nine - that’s a giant!

New Ultimate Rod Race Series - Crew
Following my announcement earlier today that we are filming a new series of Rod Race (ULTIMATE ROD RACE) in September.
I would like to welcome Mark Barrow to the crew.
Mark will be filming the underwater footage for the series.
I am delighted to get the chance to work with Mark and he will be a valuable contributor to rod race.
Jonathan Chappell (who filmed all the original Rod Race shows) is head cameraman and Tom Balaam is in charge of fund raising.
The presenters will be me and #theduke
I will be shouting out for volunteers to join the crew next week so stay tuned.

NEW SERIES OF GREAT ROD RACE, FILMING SEPTEMBER
At long last and after a couple of false dawns, it’s happening.
I am delighted to announce that I have started a crowd funder which I will share with you next week.
#Theduke is in and I’ll announce the team later today.
Following an announcement on FB on Friday night, I am pretty confident that we can raise the money.
The angling industry have never provided a penny in funding for my tv work and that’s why I am taking it to the people instead. It’s the people that put me here and the people that will decide. That is fitting. If we don’t raise the money - I have given it my best shot.
The response so far has been overwhelming.
Supporters will be able to watch the new series ahead of anyone else and then it will go out to broadcast.
