A couple of sidebars from yesterday’s trade between #Leafs and #cbj. Some chatter from #Leafs fans about Knies and concussions. On the flip side, Marchenko signed a six-year deal before playing one game with Toronto. Hope both situations work out well in the long run.

@DylanTyrer It remains to be seen if it was the right move. It does fit within that “comfort zone” area of needing a productive player in return. So many fanbases were offering up a bag of pucks, depth players, and draft picks for our top goal scorer. I’m glad GMDW made a “Hockey Trade” #cbj

@BuckeyesandHabs @HNIMtl The Blue Jackets need to make the playoffs, so you can’t trade away a high-scoring winger and not get someone who fits in, contributes comparably, and helps the #cbj win. All I see is every other teams fanbase offering up is a bag of pucks and futures right now. Columbus says no.
