It is easy to denounce and disassociate these kind of very crude ideologies from Islam but it is hard to deny that there are actual Muslims who go around with the believes.
According to the core tenets of Islam it is actually haram for married Muslim sisters to be financially independent. If your husband actively takes care of your provision then why do you need to work? The role of a married woman in Islam is to be a full time house wife.
