Hey @Halo, I’m writing to you today because...
Halo needs a @LuminonGaming skin. Here’s why we’ve earned it 👇
In the last year we’ve:
- Live produced and hosted dozens of community tourneys mixing pros + amateurs with our community members/casters/producers/designers/editors
- Partnered with @DreamHack to bring Halo watch parties to the world’s biggest gaming festival
- Sponsored two (Top 4 #HWC, Top 2 #DHAtlanta) of the league’s top teams in EU and NA with zero @HCS partnership or major sponsor
We’re asking @Halo to give the community an official @LuminonGaming skin in Halo Infinite because we haven’t just played the game; we’ve invested in it. We have earned this milestone through our unwavering dedication to the community. Seeing a @LuminonGaming skin in the store would be the ultimate recognition of that grind and a way for our loyal community to represent the brand they’ve helped build alongside us.
It’s been an incredible journey so far this year, and this would be the perfect way to celebrate it!
That said, if you’ve ever played in our events, watched our teams, or rocked with Luminon:
Like, RT, and tag @Halo so this can’t be ignored.
@JacobThomper@WindowsCentral Yeah my desktop does all the heavy lifting too. But as I do travel quite often, I used to bring a gaming laptop with me but the battery wouldn't last very long naturally. Now I can actually use my laptop for video editing, 3D design, programming, etc on the go all day.
@JacobThomper@WindowsCentral Yeah I normally never considered getting an ARM laptop but I recently got an amazing deal on one that I use on the go since the battery is great. I don't use it for gaming but the few games I have tried, I'd say PRISM has come a long way, but it's still not ideal for gaming.
@fabberie@Prs0nne@St_sammiee@ringframe The 3rd person over the shoulder mechanics could make it somewhat close to 007 Quantum of Solace gameplay. Would still be quite different but I think it could've potentially worked.
@zacbowden@ThinkFinance999 I think another big question is if nVidia's claim means there'll also be support for apps that relied on x86 drivers, something which currently can't be emulated on WoA devices. It's my understanding though that drivers are inherently almost impossible to emulate.
@akulasaisandeep@zacbowden They already tried that with Windows RT. No emulation layer just isn't going to work for the Windows user base. Adoption rates will be very low if they remove x86 emulation from Windows.
We have HUGE news for #HaloFest in our latest blog, including more tickets going on sale soon, a major venue upgrade, and our biggest special guest announcement yet! Get all the details: https://t.co/gswvcIGplN
@PingStruggles I don't know anybody that believes Windows 95 was a downgrade from Windows 3.1. If anything Windows 95 was universally acclaimed and still a popular OS to emulate today.
@houston_failure@Vuthakral@TobiMidnight Yeah I can't speak much on the characters, I was just refer to events like E-Day or the Pendulum Wars. I don't recall ever hearing a character mentioned out of the blue though that I didn't have any idea who they were referring to. But it's been awhile since I played the series.
@MartinVDrake@MrEvil37@rockisinfinite Well nothing is forever but the future of Turn10 is definitely unknown right now beyond being a support studio for Playground. Maybe in the future the Motorsport series could get revived again or some new Forza franchise even.
@MrEvil37@rockisinfinite I wasn't sure if Playground Games are fully capable of handling the engine on their own now, kind of like how each COD developer probably has their own fork of the COD engine now.
@MrEvil37@rockisinfinite Are they confirmed to be helping with Fable? Haven't seen that anywhere yet. Only that they're support Playground with Forza Horizon.
In any case, I hope Turn10 will have a chance at resurgence again in the future.
@JAGtheJager Ah that's a little disappointing they never updated it but oh well I'm always happy to use the warthog. I did see they added a lot of Halo sounds to the car horns. Not sure if they were previously in FH5 though.
I'm loving Forza Horizon 6 so far! Definitely one of the best in the series! But Forza Horizon 4 will always hold a special place in my heart because of the Halo Warthog Run mission it had. Wish they had done another one of these again.
@MrEvil37@rockisinfinite It wasn't shuttered but a lot of people did lose their jobs at Turn10 and the studio overall was reduced to a support role for the Horizon series. I'm glad they still exist but it's still sad what happened to the studio.
@BBQBARNES@TobiMidnight I don't quite remember the connection issues personally but I don't doubt it either. Happens to a lot of MP games at launch these days. The other missing stuff was unfortunate too but H5 by most criteria was relatively solid at launch.
@JAGtheJager Yeah that'd be a cool addition! I haven't seen the warthog yet in FH6 but are they still using the same warthog they've always been using?
