“Yep, I’m outside Oxford’s training now. It’s just as suspected. The plan seems to be kicking the ball to Stanley Mills and hoping for the best.”

I’m shocked by this response to my email from the Chair of The @NorthernPremLge and member of the @FA Council
Is this an acceptable way for those in power to speak to football supporters who express genuine concerns?

Ipswich Penalties sine last Oxf pen: 8
Rating: 6/10 (dramatic fall) 🤨
Would Oxford have got it: Siriki Dembele would have cut back outside the box already
First up, the latest penalty, Derby County on Saturday.
Team: Derby
Referee: Josh Smith
Rating: 5/10 (aka a Karl Robinson stone Waller) 🟠
Would Oxford have been given it: Of Course not!

Days since Oxford’s last penalty: 705
We might be going down, oh no! Who cares, we haven’t had a penalty in 705 days. In a last ditch attempt to save my sanity I’ll be going through as many Championship penalties given to other teams in that time, every day, until we get one ☝️
For those who don’t know the “Oxford manager talking about potential January signings conversion rate”, this is about equal to a youth player and two deadline day loans 👍

“There’s potentially up to six new faces we could see coming in this window. Some will be loans, and there may be one or two permanents that come in.”
Des Buckingham says #oufc could sign six new players during the January window

Des confirms on RadOx that both Goodrham and Mills went off injured.
And yet people complain about the subs?
I don’t get what people are expecting him to do at the moment.
He’s not immune to criticism, but judge him when he has his players and a fully fit squad. #oufc
To read more about the incredible hoodoo, check out this article from a couple of years ago. Basically add 2 years to everything and it all remains accurate!

Just the 18 and a half years since an Oxford coach won manager of the month… they remain the only team in the football league to have not had a manager win the award since 2005 (min 2 football league years required)
Will the curse finally end?

Great to see youngsters like Aidan Elliot-Wheeer getting chances in the first team… but has anyone checked that he’s not actually Fin Stevens?

Tough one to take, but loads of positives and I’ve never felt so confident when down to 10 men. McGuane class again and Edwards lively when he came on. Watching the two teams today there’s only one that will be pushing the top spots in League One this year

@nicqueweb I think it will take a few years for O’Donkor to score regularly enough to be a main striker at EFL level, but in terms of all round play he has serious potential. The positions he gets into suggests he will get goals eventually too. I’m surprised to see him linked to a loan tbh
Charlton’s Corey Blackett Taylor has registered the most chance creating carries (19) of anyone in England’s top four divisions so far this season.
Danger man ⚠️ ⚠️

The side with the most open play shots in League One this year (52) in Charlton travel to the Kassam this afternoon to face Oxford, a side with the third fewest open play shots conceded (22).
Going to be interesting to see what comes out on top today.
