Our Hermanus Stage 8 student, Emma Privett, took part in the Western Province Canoe Sprints. She raced in the u/14 K1 division and the u/16 category for the K2 races. Emma achieved gold for all these divisions. A huge congratulations to Emma for her achievement.

Generation Schools Hermanus has every reason to be proud. Not only did it recently win the Overberg Developing School Team Sport award, but the school's chess team won the Western Cape Developing School Team of the Year Award.

Graduation.
If the student is able to share evidence and data on their enrichment, they would be eligible to graduate from the programme and apply for a remunerated intern position. This graduation certificate would be able to be added to the student's credentials.

The process of the 3-month internship would be documented and presented by the student, showing their skills and experience. In the case of the 3-month condensed programme for the graduated student, the assessment would take place at the end of the 3 months.

Junior to Giants is an applied for, three-month to one-year on-boarding process that culminates in job placement or career creation.
From 16 years to exit, students are urged to apply themselves in different work shadowing opportunities in our organisation.

Generation Schools has partnered with several national and international tertiary institutions that offer a wide variety of Higher Education progression qualifications.

Our Sí qualifications are fully accredited by the Awards for Training and Higher Education (ATHE).
Our ATHE qualifications are internationally recognised and listed on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) for England and Wales.

Delivery and Programme Management
All our Sí qualifications are delivered through a blended approach of both online and face-to-face learning with the support of dedicated on-campus lecturers and online Subject Matter Expert (SME) support.

What is the purpose of an IAQ?
- To access further learning and progress to a degree programme.
- Development of study skills.
- Application of the knowledge in a vocational context.
- Accumulate learning credits.
- Create a portfolio of evidence in specific subject areas.

Our Sí Pathway encompasses a set of International Access Qualifications (IAQ) that grants our students the opportunity to complete a matric equivalence NQF Level 4 certificate & progress to higher tertiary levelled qualifications while still within our high school environments.

The Generation Schools, Sí pathway is our unique and innovative tertiary-in-secondary stream that allows students to accelerate their journey by unlocking alternative qualifications and learning approaches while still in high school, creating a variety of school exit credits.

Two qualifications in one programme. Both of these qualifications are accredited through SAQA and the Cathsseta and will provide our students with an NQF Level 4 Matric equivalence certificate. Both qualifications provide access into higher certificates and degrees.
