Today marks the anniversary of the death of the Duce—Benito Mussolini. A great man and revolutionary who dedicated his entire life to the rebirth of Italy.

Benito Mussolini was a defender of the working class; he ensured stability in Italy, and—crucially for many Christians—he ensured the revival of Christianity in Italy by restoring religious symbols and even establishing the Vatican as a new state.

One can argue whether Mussolini was right to enter the war on the side of the Axis powers. However, he had noble goals and believed he was acting in the best interests of his homeland. The Duce showed us how revolutionary nationalism and syndicalism can join forces to create a new, great patriotic movement.
