Every expert was once a beginner- this week, I became a Data Science and Engineering beginner.

Today, we talked about Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Artificial Neural Networks, Reinforcement Learning, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing.

✅ Computer Vision (CV): It simply defines that field that enables devices to acquire, process, understand, and analyze digital images, and videos and extract useful information.

It was an intense 4 hour class. And it was absolutely worth it.

✅ Deep Learning (DL): This is basically the technique that teaches a computer to filter inputs. It is inspired by the way that the human brain filter information.

Data Science: This is the science of extracting knowledge and insights from data.

✅ Machine Learning (ML): This is a field of study that gives computers the ability to learn without being explicitly programmed. It basically just predicts B given A.

✅ I will be a valuable member in any community, like the tech4def fellowship.

✅ The first thing in building my confidence is knowing myself. I need to ask myself who I am, what I stand for, how to navigate positions, the maximum I can go, where I draw the line, what I will never do to access an opportunity, what sets me apart, and so on.

She spoke on building your confidence and brand.

She gave us an assignment to share what we learnt, who we learned from, add a picture of the speaker, and tag them.

So here’s what I’ve learned listening to Blessing Abeng:

I followed her after that and paid attention to her work. I have since then admired her work ethics, her passion, her carriage, her communication skills, and many more.

You can only but imagine my excitement when she joined the call and started talking.

A key takeaway for me is that I’ve learned and will commit to “go the extra mile even if it looks like I’m an oversabi person, I’ll go extra!”

Lastly, I’ll have EXCELLENT GRADES! No negotiation!

If I’m doing this, I’m doing it well!
