@shikokusue Loved this recollection! The Costume Institute at the Met in ‘7gave me a place as an intern to learn how to patch holes in 17th and 18th century Russian royalty’s finery. Like you, I discovered early I was better suited to writing than fashion but oh what fun to fantasize.
