Since Trump doesn't want this portrait of President Obama displayed in the White House, let's make this photo of our President go viral here!
RETWEET if you love @BarackObama!
Thank you all for the messages of concern but I am not dead.
If I were, it would be entirely appropriate for you to have blamed Israel. 🤷♀️
Somewhat relatedly, Charlie Kirk was not concerned he was going to be killed by a transgendered furry after a full day of arguing with Zionists about him abandoning the pro-Israel cause.
Hope this helps.
To everyone who helped bring the Obama Presidential Center to life, thank you. Michelle and I are so grateful for all your dedication and hard work over the years.
I got a little teary-eyed tonight thinking about my mother-in-law, Marian Robinson.
“If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you". Wise words that still ring true today spoken by an upstanding Texan, LBJ in 1964… let it sink in that it’s now 2026.
For all the “I just don’t like her laugh, people,” please tell me if these high gas prices, lawless losing war, high unemployment, blatant corruption, or racist assault on representation by the confederate south was worth not having to hear her laugh?
Today’s Supreme Court ruling guts the Voting Rights Act and turns back the clock on the foundational promise of equality and fairness in our election systems.
Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act was one of the last remaining federal protections for Black and brown voters against maps deliberately drawn to dilute their political power. That protection has been stripped away.
It is an outrage. But it is not a surprise.
It is part of an agenda that conservatives set in place decades ago to steal power from everyday people and then cling to that power for generations.
The court’s decision is motivated by politics and designed to give an upper hand to Donald Trump’s Republican Party, which faces the threat of losing the upcoming midterm elections.
We must pay attention to what happens next.
The fight now returns to the states. Legislatures — particularly those in the South — will rush to redraw districts before voting for the midterms begins in just a few months. Already, Louisiana and Florida are planning to redraw their maps, and we should not be surprised if others rapidly follow suit ahead of the midterms and 2028. Their politically-motivated power grab is meant to protect elected Republicans from any consequences for their failure to make groceries, gas, health care, or housing more affordable for you and your family. They want to cheat and choose their voters, instead of the voters deciding who they choose.
The mission before us is to restore the power of the people. There is no question our fight became harder today, but I know we are up for the battle.
Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach.
The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

Today is my final day serving as Chief of Police for the Jackson Police Department. Leading this department during a critical transition period has been an honor, and I am grateful to Mayor John Horhn for his trust, confidence, and support over the past seven months. Serving in the dual role of Hinds County Sheriff and Chief of Police has been one of the greatest highlights of my 26‑year career, and I remain forever thankful for the opportunity.
I want to thank my family for their unwavering support throughout this journey. Their strength and encouragement have allowed me to serve our community with focus and commitment. I am also deeply grateful to the men and women of both JPD and HCSO for their professionalism, dedication, and support in ensuring stability and continuity of operations in both departments. Their service to our community is invaluable, and I am proud to stand with them.
As a lifelong Jacksonian, I admire the progress our city continues to make, and it has been an honor to contribute to that progress. In my ongoing role as Sheriff, I look forward to continuing strong partnerships with the City of Jackson, our community, and all public safety stakeholders. I also look forward to supporting incoming Chief Dr. Rashell Brackney throughout this transition and as she assumes leadership of the department.
Thank you, Jackson, for your support and for the privilege to serve.

We have people in power making broad claims around certain drugs and autism that have been continuously disproven. The degree to which those comments can undermine public health, do harm to women who are pregnant, create anxiety for parents who do have children who are autistic – is violence against the truth.
We’ll never forget the lives we lost on September 11, 2001. Let’s continue to honor their memories, and the courage of our first responders who put themselves in harm’s way.
Dear Lord,
Today, bless the week ahead of me. I may not be where I want to be, but help me trust You at the water level until the wine returns. Let me steward what I have left while You favor what feels empty. Stretch where I’ve been poured out. And if You moved once at Cana, You can move now for me. Fill this week with moments only You could’ve made possible. In Jesus’ name. Amen🙏🏾
@CSpire I’ve been waiting for fiber to run down Countyline Road in Jackson. It seems like everywhere else in Jackson but this area has fiber. I’ve registered a million times.
No low is too low for MAGA… now explain to me why an institution would be receiving threats because of the commencement speech that I GAVE.
This type of behavior is why I’m constantly having to be protected & I understand that truth telling in this country; sadly, is a dangerous business, but college students don’t deserve this.
As a side note: you consistently prove me right & just as this was the only campus that MLK could speak at in Mississippi in the 1960s… it’s 2025, and this country is still stuck on hate… I’m proud to say Tougaloo is tough & so am I.
My dad was the original Gordon on Sesame Street. I literally and figuratively grew up on this Street 💚💛He introduced the world to Big Bird and Mr. Hooper and Oscar and all the people in the neighborhood…Imagine a world where that never happened—because @PBS was defunded.🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
