This is how much money 17.6 million views got me on YouTube Shorts. If you’re thinking of starting YouTube, you have two ways to go about it.

Shorts are an effective way to grow an audience very quickly, but there is a massive trade off you MUST be ready for. As you can see, Shorts really doesn’t pay you very much in ad rev. Unless you’re consistently scoring multi million views and solid brand deals, there really isn’t a lot of money in short form content.

Long form content has the highest ad rev payout but it’s FAR more difficult for growth. I can hear some of you now thinking “well I’ll just grow on Shorts then start uploading long form!” Nuh uh!🙂‍↔️ in my experience, only a very small fraction of new subs from Shorts will ever watch any of your long form content. This isn’t the case for all creators, but it will be for most.

I encourage anyone who has been thinking of starting in content creation to just do it. Worst outcome, it doesn’t work out! 🤷🏻‍♂️at least you gave it a shot.

hi @TeamYouTube my song cover of “cpr” was removed yesterday for sexual audio despite the fact that many other covers and remixes of this song are allowed on youtube. not only that, but my video was falsely copyright claimed by a song that doesn’t even exist. i worked really hard on this video and i feel that my video was taken down unfairly. i would really appreciate speaking to someone at @TeamYouTube to get this resolved.
