Iowa football #Scorigami:
Iowa 25, Penn State 24
Scorigami! That's the first time Iowa has won 25-24 in program history. It's the 746th unique final score in program history.
@charliebilello That’s a lot but is a misleading stat because probably $150 billion of that was won back. So the real “spend” was $15ish billion.
If you bet $10 and win, you now have $20. Then bet $10 again and lose, now you’re back to $10. You didn’t lose anything but you “bet” $20.
The algorithm seems very flawed against Big Ten teams (or maybe just Iowa). Despite finishing higher in the KP rankings and advancing 2 rounds further than both Texas A&M and Miami, we stayed put while those two jumped 3 and 8 spots, respectively.
Interested to see where we move in KenPom's "program rankings." I think lack of postseason success was killing us before as we are currently sitting at #50. The teams in front of us:
49. Kansas State- should pass them
48. Texas A&M- maybe
47. Miami- maybe
46. NC State- maybe
@JustinJBasch OK no problem👊. I guess I'm confused as to what part is "grandfathered"- theoretically if a 30 year old enrolled in the class of 2026 he would get grandfathered into 5 years of eligibility? But if he were 2025 he'd get 4 years and if he were 2027 he'd get 0 years?
@JustinJBasch NCAA makes it clear that the class of 2026 is "grandfathered" in the sense that they get the more beneficial rule of either the former or current rule. But under either set of rules, Bo only gets 4 years of eligibility.

@JustinJBasch No this is an incorrect interpretation. What rule is he "grandfathered into"? Under previous rules he'd only get 4 years of eligibility like everyone else. There's no set of rules, current or former, that gives him 5 years.
@tiger_then@_AlexGookin@TylerKluver No Tom Brands wouldn’t say that he never talks about other teams. How often do you interact with casual ISU fans? Like the ones who don’t watch every game? Their entire fandom is based on beating Iowa.
I don’t doubt that you personally don’t hold it that high, but others do.
@_AlexGookin@TylerKluver The vast majority of casual fans and Iowa State students still view Iowa as their Super Bowl.
For example, Jimmy Rogers yelled “Let’s beat fucking the Hawks” in Hilton. I don’t care that he said it but no Iowa coach would ever say “let’s beat the fucking Cyclones”.
@8makesmewantkms@Cameron_Skers@CFBKings Lil bro I am an Iowa fan and hate Nebraska more than you can imagine. And I never denied that he was scout team, once again you’re just making shit up. Does it get exhausting being this big of a douche?
@8makesmewantkms@Cameron_Skers@CFBKings “ I get it’s embarrassing but denying the truth only makes it look worse for you. Cope harder 😂”
Maybe I know what I’m talking about lil bro.
Easiest way to tell a legit fan from a fake one is if they think Jackson Stratton was a scout team linebacker.
Someone made that up once and everyone went with it.
