One of the most sought-after firms in North America with extensive design and production experience on Navy and Coast Guard programs in Canada and the US.
At Genoa, adaptability and continuous learning are at the heart of what we do.
Through our Gaining Ground initiative, we're expanding our technical capabilities with specialized @AVEVAGroup Marine software training, strengthening our expertise in hull, structural, and outfitting design.
This investment goes beyond learning a new platform. It's about developing our people, broadening our capabilities, and preparing our teams to support a wider range of shipbuilding projects and industry needs.
By combining specialized technical training with support from Genoa Academy, we're building knowledge we can share and develop across our teams.
New skills. New opportunities. The same commitment to delivering excellence.

We’re excited to announce a new multi-year partnership between Genoa Design International and atlantiq AI to advance the use of AI in ship design and engineering.
Over the past year, our teams have worked together to test and validate AI technology within real-world ship design workflows. Now, following successful validation, we’re moving into broader implementation across our design operations.
This partnership brings together Genoa’s decades of shipbuilding expertise with atlantiq AI’s advanced technology to explore how AI can improve quality, strengthen delivery, and give our designers and engineers more capacity to focus on the work that requires their expertise and judgment.
It’s also another step forward in our Digital Ship® vision — strengthening the digital thread from design and construction through operation, sustainment, and eventual decommissioning.

💻 Giving retired tech a second life.
As part of Genoa’s commitment to cybersecurity and giving back to our communities, we now donate retired devices to @cfs_nl where they're refurbished and redistributed to schools, nonprofits, and other organizations that can put them to good use.
So far, Genoa has donated 259 pieces of technology, giving them another opportunity to support learning, connection, and community organizations.
We’re proud to see equipment that has reached the end of its time at Genoa continue to make an impact elsewhere. 💙

⚓ From digital design to the shipyard floor!
As part of Genoa’s Gaining Ground initiative, our team travelled to Vancouver for Shipbuilding Development: Taking Designs to Production — a hands-on technical immersion designed to connect our day-to-day work with shipyard production.
Our Mentor Leads and Junior Designers got valuable “boots on the ground” experience, seeing firsthand how digital designs translate to the scale and complexity of physical ship construction.
Experiences like these are about more than technical skills. They’re about learning from one another, building production awareness, and giving our people opportunities to grow.
A big thank you to Vancouver Shipyards (VSY) for welcoming our crew and giving them the opportunity to tour the shipyard, learn from the teams on site, and see shipbuilding in action.
