I disagree that Iran getting nukes had nothing to do with his decision, they have been top of mind for him for decades.

He wasn't comfortable with pushing this off into the future and he hated the JCPOA. He doesn't want North Korea all over again.

I grant that this is risky but solving the problem with Iran is worth pursuing. I would like to have a prosperous Iran that is welcomed into the international community.
