I am genuinely happy to see that the former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai (rtd.), has taken legal action against a fellow retired military officer, Maj. Gen. Danjuma Hamisu Ali-Keffi, seeking N1 billion in damages over alleged defamatory statements bordering on terrorism. Over time, this retired general has made numerous grave and far-reaching allegations against the previous administration and its officials. Allegations of such magnitude should never be left to the court of public opinion alone.

This legal action now presents an opportunity for him to substantiate those claims with credible evidence before a competent court of law.

I attended both days of the two-day Northern Nigeria Investment and Industrialization Summit @NNIIS25 held in Abuja. The discussions and panel sessions addressed exactly the critical areas we must focus on to uplift livelihoods and drive economic development in our region. It is our hope that the outcome of this Summit and the actions that will follow, will translate into the effective implementation of all the key recommendations highlighted as they will no doubt contribute to making Arewa great again. #NNIIS25

I wish to sincerely thank and commend His Excellency, Governor @KYusufAbba, for his approval and firm commitment to establishing Gaya Polytechnic. This is deeply personal to me and to all the good people of my hometown, Gaya.

It is also symbolic, as Gaya is the proud birthplace of His Excellency himself. We therefore hold the strong belief that this development is only the beginning, and that many more impactful projects will follow under his administration.

May this visionary step mark a new chapter of progress and prosperity for our Gaya, Kano State and Nigeria at large.

I intend to plant 5,000 trees in my local community, Gaya and our environs, as part of a personal initiative to support the Kano State Government’s Five Million Tree Planting Campaign and the Federal Government’s efforts in combating erosion and addressing climate change.

To ensure smooth execution, I have engaged a dedicated team of 20 people, including a project manager, to oversee the entire process from planning, planting and nursing.

Special thanks to the Governor of Kano State @KYusufAbba and the Honourable Commissioner for Environment @DahirMHashim for the swift response and approval. Deeply appreciated.

We will make our community greener and great by ourselves. 🌱🌱🌱
