Supposedly the average eye contact between people is just three seconds.
THREE SECONDS.
That is so little considering the eyes are truly the windows to the soul.
Three seconds is barely a shallow breath. It’s less time than it takes to say someone’s name.
This means we really don’t recognize each other. Not as souls. We merely exist in the presence of each other as abstract notions or social obligations.
Past a few seconds, eye contact stops being social and becomes something else. It gets uncomfortable for most people precisely because it starts to reveal. We look away right at the threshold. Before it becomes something real.
Three seconds is the exact length of time before it starts to mean something. So we look away right there. We are afraid to look into another sincerely. To look at someone for longer is to let them look back.
Why do we avoid being seen while seeing?
There is something profoundly sad about going a whole lifetime without soul recognition.
Let yourself look into another’s eyes more often. It would save the world.
“Everything grand is made from a series of ugly little moments.
Everything worthwhile by hours of self-doubt and days of drudgery.
All the works by people you and I admire sit atop a foundation of failures.” — Pierce Brown
My life got a lot better when I started viewing everything as rigged in my favor. Tragedy. Heartbreak. Victory. Risk. Devastation. Euphoria. Uncertainty. No matter what happened, I operated with a foundational belief that I would be fine either way. And magically, I was, once I started believe so.
Unhinged relationship advice:
When we’re stuck…
Let’s stop being partners for five minutes.
Let’s be two best friends trying to solve a problem together.
It’s a lot harder to fight each other when you’re fighting for each other.
Healthy relationships don’t hide.
They create so much clarity that no one feels the need to investigate.
That’s the difference between suspicion and transparency.
You are a trader.
1.Journal every trade
2.Walk away after a loss
3.Risk 1% or less
4.Cut losses fast
5.Let winners run
6. Trust your setup, not your emotions
7. Trade the plan, not the mood
8.Stop after your daily loss limit
9. Trade less, wait more
10. Protect your capital first
11. Avoid impulsive entries
Your account is 100% your responsibility.
The older i get, the more i realize that someone making time for you is one of the clearest signs they care. Everyone is busy. Everyone has responsibilities and their own battles to fight. So when someone consistently chooses to spend their time with you, checks on you, and makes space for you in their life, it means something. time is one thing we can never get back, and people don't give it away lightly.
A trading loss doesn’t just test your account.
It tests your mind.
Can you trust your edge again?
Can you execute without fear?
Can you take the next setup
without thinking about the last one?
Anyone can trade after a win.
Real traders
can trade after a loss.
Once you have your trading strategy - stop consuming trading content
I don’t watch any trading videos, podcasts or read any trading books
The only videos I’ll watch is from the people I actually learned trading from, and I’ll read tweets from traders purely for entertainment
But watching a ton of trading content when you already have your trading strategy is NOT good for you
All it does is distract you and give you shiny object syndrome - you’ll want to change strategies all the time cause you see other people “killing it” with their strategies
You’re much better off just blocking out the noise and focusing on yourself
Same old route but a different view, every single road keeps leading to you.
It’s like the nights on replay
Your shadow dancin in the back of my dreams
Every heartbeat, skips the same piece
Memories never rly leave
You’re running through my mind again, like a song that never ends
A man who sees a future with you will often try to teach, guide, and protect.
Not because he wants to control you.
Because he’s investing in the life he hopes to build with you.
