Somebody said you’re only as good to people as your last good deed … I can’t unhear it now … I’ve been reminded of it every day since I heard it I got chills
Can we normalize being honest with God about how hard a season is while STILL trusting Him? Like, Lord, I'm tired. I'm overwhelmed. I don't understand. I'm trying not to worry. 😭 BUT I still believe You are who You say You are. I still believe You are faithful. I still believe You can make a way. My feelings are real, but they don't get the final say over what I believe about my God😮💨
I love that I’ve reached a point where I genuinely don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything. I can stay home all weekend, put my phone on DND, enjoy my little routine & be perfectly content. I don’t care who’s outside, who’s doing what or where everybody’s going. I’m genuinely happy in my own little world & that kind of peace means everything to me. 🤍
I'm not ashamed to say it. I've overplayed my role more times than I can count. Not because I'm desperate, not because I lack self-respect, but because when I care... I care for real. I pour. I show up. I love in a way I want to be loved back. And yes, sometimes I hurt my own feelings doing it. But at least I know my heart was honest. I stand by that.
Have you realized when you cry during worship for no logical reason, that is not emotion. That is an encounter of your spirit responding to the presence of God in a way your mind cannot process. Those tears are the most honest prayer you will ever pray.
