Got @GeoParquet working on @qgis on my mac! Thanks @jorisvdbossche for showing me the way. The path is a bit obscure, but with conda you can do 'conda install qgis libgdal-arrow-parquet' and it should get you all that you need - just have to start it from the command-line.
