@bitingwhit @MsJasmineMN They do but the law clearly states that holds must be proportionate, reasonable and necessary, therefore whatever the hold it's up to a dynamic risk assessment to decide. That said, we should avoid restraint where possible....

@MsJasmineMN There is a rising number of trauma informed schools. Children with SEMH problems are often unpredictable and it depends on the situation and context. All holds have to be recorded and properly debrief and as I don't know what this case was so would avoid commenting and judging ☺️
