Interesting to note:
The United States was producing 13.58 million barrels per day in 2025, about 16% of global crude supply. It was exporting roughly 4 million barrels per day of crude.
Iran shuts the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. April exports jumped to 4.9 million barrels per day, and May is tracking 5.2 million, an all time record. 28 supertankers are booked for May. Normally it is around 5.
Asian buyers that once depended on Hormuz are now turning to U.S. supply.
In some strange way, the Strait of Hormuz being blocked is actually the biggest payday U.S. oil has ever had.

Afghan Minister Raises Concerns Over Pakistan Bypassing Afghanistan in New Iran–Uzbek Transit Route
Speaking to Afghanistan Times, Afghanistan’s Acting Minister of Trade (Taliban administration) has said that recent reports about Pakistan’s new transit arrangement with Iran and Uzbekistan show that Pakistan is effectively bypassing Afghanistan in regional trade routes.
He stated that Pakistan has now started using a new corridor through Iran to send shipments to Uzbekistan, and the first shipment has already been dispatched. According to him, this clearly shows that Pakistan is shifting trade away from Afghanistan and using Iran as an alternative route to reach Central Asia.
The Afghan minister said Afghanistan used to be the main bridge between Central Asia and South Asia, but now these new routes are reducing Afghanistan’s importance in regional trade. He added that since Pakistan–Afghanistan trade was already not stable, this new development makes Afghanistan even more sidelined in transit routes.
He also criticized Pakistan for choosing to bypass Afghanistan instead of using traditional regional routes, saying this weakens Afghanistan’s position in regional connectivity and trade.
The statement reflects concern in Kabul that Afghanistan is being left out of major new trade corridors, and its role as a key transit country is slowly decreasing due to shifting regional trade strategies.
He further added that Afghanistan is now in a difficult position because earlier hopes of trade expansion through regional partnerships were not fully successful. According to him, expected trade progress with India did not move forward properly, and similarly the trade opportunities that were expected through Iran also did not develop as planned. As a result, Afghanistan’s hopes of becoming a strong regional trade hub are weakening, and the country is being pushed into a more isolated position in regional connectivity.
He ended with saying that Afghanistan sees themselves in a difficult position now.

Trump: "Europe is desperate for Energy, and yet the United Kingdom refuses to open North Sea Oil, one of the greatest fields in the World. Tragic!!! Aberdeen should be booming. Norway sells its North Sea Oil to the U.K. at double the price. They are making a fortune. U.K., which is better situated on the North Sea for purposes of energy than Norway, should, DRILL, BABY, DRILL!!! It is absolutely crazy that they don’t… AND, NO MORE WINDMILLS! President DJT"

So China, after continuous prodding, is finally responding with a direct warning to the US.” First one of its kind.
So far China tried to remain aloof from the whole affair.
BREAKING: In a direct message to the Trump administration and the US Navy, China's Defense Minister Admiral Dong Jun says Chinese ships will continue transiting the Strait of Hormuz through agreements with Iran, and warns the US not to "meddle in our affairs."
Also from Dong's statement:
1. Says Chinese ships are currently "moving in and out of the waters of the Strait of Hormuz"
2. Confirms China has existing "trade and energy agreements with Iran" that China will "respect and honor"
3. Explicitly states: "Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz and it is open for us," recognizing Iranian sovereignty over transit
Pakistan sure did...sending force to SA was clear signal last night that showed Iranian where Pakistan stands.
"CNN" Riyadh was the decisive word; when Washington–Tehran talks nearly collapsed in Islamabad, Pakistan brandished its mutual defense agreement with Saudi Arabia.."
India is feeling left out from both the war and the peace theatre. The best it can do is issue a verbal threat against Pakistan.
I don’t think India will plan any false-flag operation now — those days are over.
India's best bet remains to finance trouble in Baluchistan.
Nothing is cooling.
So-called “mediations” was a smoke screen— the US had not put anything on the table.
Iran saw through that.
The US appears to be following a plan it set itself long time back....with a lot of noise about other matters to distract.
