Extraordinary that the Labour Party in Greenwich is trying to get votes by promising free bikes for children, paid for with everyone else's council tax money.
Via the Greenwich Wire (I would tag them but they left X in an Elon-related huff).

Sadiq Khan said he would protect the Green Belt - now he is planning to concrete over it. He said he wants a Brownfield first, but he won't enforce it.
Broken promises and empty words. Londoners deserve better.
Greenwich Council Leader Anthony Okereke forced through his changes to limit Qs & scrutiny last night, in one of the longest council meetings in history. 28 Labour councillors voted FOR. All 8 Conservative, Green, Ind councillors voted AGAINST. A dark day for our local democracy
It's been confirmed the Labour Government is 𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 Greenwich Council's funding by £7m in cash terms over next 3 years. Where's the outrage from the Labour councillors who run our borough? 🤔
Blanket 20mph and LTNs are failing. Instead of working with successful councils like Bromley (which has seen one of biggest decreases in people killed or seriously injured) Sadiq Khan keeps trying to force anti-car zealousy one-size fits schemes onto all of London.
@Royal_Greenwich Shooters Hill Rd SE3 outside 38 corner with Kidbrooke Grove uncleared leaves now a soggy mess & collecting litter. Same on other corner outside 36 Shooters Hill Rd. Can RBG clear it away - been overlooked for weeks
Labour councillors voted to cut short last night’s Greenwich Council meeting, rather than debate their own Labour government’s 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 report finding Greenwich one of the 13 worst councils for potholes. Read the proposal @GreenwichTories put forward https://t.co/xKtoekvi5g
Greenwich Council now ranked as one of the 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐬 in country for repairing potholes by their own Labour Government. Little wonder after years of policy they even called ‘managed decline’. Labour’s anti-driver agenda infects everything

@Royal_Greenwich Yet again bins in Vicarage Avenue SE3 overflowing - having to step over dog poo bags on pathway. Litter / cigarette buts around benches. A pleasant spot spoiled by Council apathy and some couldn’t care less about environment folks.
Good turnout for Greenwich Council’s LTN feedback session at Mycenae House tonight. Majority had a negative view and some anger. Trust in Council on this not high
