@FunFactsLulu Yikes. What fresh libertarian hellscape is this? Kind of perfectly encapsulates the ick I always get when someone is too excited about tiny homes, tbh. Or we could have a regular-sized hospital with beds and doctors and nurses and operating rooms instead of boutique tax cuts. 🤯
The rot starts at the top.
It’s utterly implausible that a single staff member acted alone to rig the system to benefit a select few developers.
Mr. Ford must demand Mr. Clark’s resignation, and recall the Legislature so we can restore these lands to the Greenbelt.

A shameful display of corporate greed in a time of danger and devastation for Canadians.
Lives are at risk.
Our only priority should be to get families to safety - not to profit in a time of need.
@FunFactsLulu And in fact, school boards did ask the government for more money/input on remote education, only to be told, "no way, this consortium of private education firms has it covered." Then, when people objected to that, the Ministry suddenly decided TVO should be a "partner" in it.
@FunFactsLulu More money for remote teachers would be a board level- negotiation. Not saying your supposition is wrong or that the current system of tiered bargaining is great, but it does explain why that demand wouldn't be in this...position paper? Ministerial briefing note? Email? Who knows
@FunFactsLulu This government isnt using digital platforms to democratize or widen access or protect the immunocompromised, and they won't be. They're being used to marginalize people without resources + funnel services to the private sector. That's no less a concern now than it was in 2018.
@FunFactsLulu Sounds like Lecce's office leaking stuff selectively to make ETFO look bad. Teachers have every right to limit remote learning to "exceptional" situations (which is broad enough to include everyone who has an IEP or medical exemption, if that's what they want).
@FunFactsLulu Also, in this particular case, it's not just a matter of grasping for a financial angle to speak to Conservatives. We're talking about tens of billions in straight-up real estate fraud.
@FunFactsLulu Unfortunately, people are conditioned not to care about the public trust *unless* it is gawked at in the public eye. If ravaging public institutions for personal gain were enough to motivate people, Ford would have been chased from office before the last election.
Ford’s Conservatives are choosing to use public dollars to fund private clinics… instead of public hospitals.
Ontarians have a right to know the details.
Your health care shouldn’t rely on a company’s ability to profit. #onpoli

MPP @jamiewestndp has just asked Ford govt if they will follow our NDP call to at least DOUBLE ODSP/OW
Instead govt brags about its 5% 'increase' which is barely a drop in a bucket ESPECIALLY for those like Jamie's constituent who CANNOT WORK!
#onpoli#odspoverty#socialmurder
My favourite brand of leftwing crank is "We tried that decades ago. It didn't work therefore fuck you for suggesting it again."
Like not sure if anyone has noticed but now is the time to try *everything*
Ironic af that the lobby has been calling ABA/IBI (behaviour based practices you can get certified in without ever taking even one class about autism) - "core autism therapy" 🙃
...as if behaviour isn't the most surface layer of a person; the FARTHEST away from our core.
@JodiKoberinski@OntarioNDP Um, what? Social media is full of NDP MPPS at the midnight sitting, speaking against the legislation and pledging support for ed workers. Makes me proud.
I don't know what you want Caucus to do about the staffers updating the Twitter feed, but seems like they're on the job to me.
Ontario Liberals having first tried overriding the right to strike only to lose a charter case and pay billions, will Ontario PCs now use notwithstanding clause to end-run charter rights and freedoms?
Will the convoy freedum types cheer Ford’s attack on freedoms and the charter?
@KevsheaKsheak @SamHersh01@HorizonOttawa@cmckenney That's hilarious, Kevin. By the way, wasn't there, like, a 2/3rds majority supporting the last ineffectual Liberal mayor? This Council, not so much. Whaddyya think happened there?
@SamHersh01 is one of the boldest and most effective organizers for people I've ever met. I don't buy for a nanosecond that the blatantly antisemitic attacks on him and @HorizonOttawa by police, corporate media and right-wing politicians are unintentional. 1/
When it comes to facing political or personal attacks because of my organizing I often have pretty thick skin, I know there are ppl, namely those who don't share my beliefs, who aren't my fans but throughout the election the anti-Semitism I faced made me pretty uncomfortable. 1/5
3. Municipal, street-level politics always will matter. That's where fascist advances will be beaten back first and where the pressure to dismantle harmful institutions (the Ottawa Police Service, for one!) is most likely to succeed.

2. You can do a lot more to stop the bileous flow of hate by challenging it when it passes without comment in the public square close to home than your hot takes on Kanye's instagram ever could.
