@AmyNicks_ @Jacob_Rees_Mogg Please tell me you understand something of the history. Ending slavery took Wilberforce et al over 30 years to achieve. One argument against it was the economic cost. It was hugely expensive to do. The decision ultimately was a moral one, motivated indeed by Christian charity.
