@PLAYairlines it would be helpful if you staffed your services at Reykjavik airport. Delayed flight over 8 hours and no representatives have been here to speak to in person.
@GeogWithSloggs Do you look at the issue through the lens of one country case study? I’ve thought maybe a mapping/data activity one lesson the maybe case studies the next
Planning shout out! I want to plan a lesson on the decline in fertility rates and it’s impact as part of our population SOW. But not sure where to start!? I’m thinking looking at S.Korea?
It goes without saying flexibility would help, but coaching in schools should be a must for returning parents! The return to work workshop with @mtpt_project was fantastic definitely felt more confident on my return because of it.

More needs to be done to solve this crisis. So many of us are one step away from doing the same. Teaching should be a brilliant career choice for parents, but making it work requires decision makers to be flexible, understanding and to understand the value of PT staff.
Passed my NPQLT! 🎉 all while juggling new mum/newborn life and I didn’t drop a mark 🙌🏼 really enjoyed getting to use my brain, whilst on mat leave. Thanks @paulday30 and @bestpracticenet for all of the support!
WE GOT THE WIN ON CHILD BENEFIT!
Chancellor tipped me off before budget, said this was due in large to MSE/my shows campaigning all based on all those of your who messaged me to say it was the key thing to put to him
So
1) From this April threshold which hasn't moved since 2013 rises from a single parent earning £50,000 to £60,000 and you lose child benefit totally at £80,000 (not £60,000)
2) Consultation on moving it to family income not individual income and hopefully that'll be in place from April 2026 (this is to stop unfairness for single income/single parent) families.

If your on mat leave (or adoption/paternity) definitely check out AFTERMIRTH - daytime comedy show! Super baby friendly and very funny! Who said leave had to be filled with just rhyme time!
I’ve done a fair few first aid courses over the years but is weekend I took part in training by @WorsleyTraining and it was fantastic! Any teachers in the Wiltshire area definitely check louise out!
At 39 weeks 🤰today I hope the person that stole (luckily) only SOME of our packed things for the hospital from our car enjoys reading my birth plan and hits every red light for the rest of their lives and just for good measure stubs their toe really hard.
Still no signs of baby so going into school today to see our students collect some amazing results, speaking with parents and hanging out with colleagues making classroom displays really made my day! Thanks @DrummondShan ❤️
One of mine and @GeogOnOut very talented students made our department 4 infiltration boxes as a gift this term! Can’t wait to use as part of our W&C topic with A-level. Check out his video!
