GeogSoc 2-0 English Soc.
It was another cold afternoon at DRSV as the Greens continued, and hoped to complete, our hunt for promotion. One change to the side saw an ill Palmer drop to the bench and Taylor come in. The game got underway.
A relatively uneventful second half saw the game end the same score as the first half did. 2-0. That was all we needed for promotion! We’ll see you in the new year as the boys travel to the Watkins training complex for the winter training camp. #COYG
It’s MATCHDAY!
This is how the Greens lineup in what could be a promotion clinching fixture against English Soc. Palmer drops to the bench (Pev out?), due to a blood issue (donated this morning). Joined by Saj Harman Mateo and JT. All we want for Christmas is 3 points! #COYG
Happy Birthday long-term servant of the club Josh Harman. Young Josh is a bit of a record holder here at GeogSoc, he’s the most capped outfield player to never score. Hope you have a great day Joshy!
A word from Wednesday’s official Taste of India Man of the Match: Sam Palmer.
“It’s a great feeling to get on the scoresheet, not one I feel very often, but that makes it all the more special. The boys are staying grounded though, just one game at a time, onto next week!”
GeogSoc 1-0 Cynthia. After last week’s return to winning ways, The Greens were looking to make it two on the bounce to affirm second position in the league. Doyle and Watkins came back into the starting XI. The opposition got things underway on a frosty afternoon at DRSV.
One volley from distance was struck very sweetly but Kai tipped over the bar. The Greens held out for another clean sheet, and a comfortable 1-0 win. Looking on to next week for a chance to gain promotion to the top division, that’s when things could get more difficult! #COYG
