@Don_Curiel Yes! Field studies are sometimes told the data are just descriptive or correlative and models give real processed-based info. But…what if models are poorly grounded in insights from…um…field data. Which are expensive, difficult, time consuming, and messy. And necessary.
@coreyspowell I have to think more about anthro- vs psycho-, but after reading this I am in total agreement it should end -zoic rather than -cene. We are definitely in a new era…not an epoch.

@liznorell@AlyssaMandel A professor colleague used to do this and ended up axing student-chosen grades because after years they noticed overwhelmingly white males were selecting As and women were hesitant to grade themselves as high.
