@MedvedevRussiaE Mr Medvedev, your leader has spent a lifetime serving the same organisation that carried out Stalin's purges and ran the GULAG. And you are his servant.
Now you are saying Mr Merz is the grandson of someone? Really?
Welcomed France’s new Ambassador to Ukraine, Brice Roquefeuil, to Kyiv.
We discussed further military support for Ukraine, the path toward confiscating frozen russian assets, and the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation across political parties in France’s National Assembly.

Johann Georg Elser (1903-1945), a German carpenter who opposed the Nazi regime from the beginning and acted entirely alone. He concluded by 1938 that Hitler was leading Germany into a catastrophic European war and wanted to stop it. He built a time-bomb and tried to assassinate Adolf Hitler on November 8, 1939, at the Bürgerbräukeller beer hall in Munich....
Adolf Hitler escaped an assassination attempt because he left a speech thirteen minutes before a bomb exploded. On November 8, 1939, a powerful device detonated inside Munich's Bürgerbräukeller beer hall, destroying much of the area where Hitler had been speaking. Eight people were killed and dozens injured. The bomb had been planted by Georg Elser, a German carpenter who believed that eliminating the Nazi leadership might prevent a wider European war. Hitler had departed at approximately 9:07 p.m. The explosion occurred around 9:20. Thirteen minutes separated the dictator from a potentially fatal blast.
Elser was not a senior military officer, prominent politician or member of an organized conspiracy involving influential figures. He came from a working-class background and possessed the practical skills of a carpenter and craftsman. His opposition to Nazism developed as Hitler's dictatorship consolidated power, suppressed political freedoms and pursued increasingly aggressive foreign policies. By 1938, Elser had concluded that the Nazi leadership was moving Germany toward another devastating war. His surviving interrogation statements establish that he deliberately sought a way to remove Hitler and other leading Nazis, believing their deaths could create an opportunity to avert further conflict.
The location he selected was carefully chosen. Every November 8, Hitler returned to the Bürgerbräukeller to commemorate the failed Nazi putsch of 1923. The anniversary gathering brought leading party figures together in a predictable setting, giving Elser an opportunity to calculate where the dictator would be standing and when. He examined the building, identified a pillar near the speaker's platform and began preparing an explosive device with a timing mechanism. The work demanded patience and technical ingenuity. For weeks, he secretly entered the hall, hollowing out part of the pillar and concealing the preparations from staff and visitors.
Elser constructed the bomb largely on his own, using materials obtained through theft, purchase and careful preparation. Its timing mechanism was designed to trigger the explosion during the annual speech, when Hitler and other senior Nazi figures were expected to be present. On November 6, 1939, Elser completed the final adjustments and prepared to leave Munich. His plan depended on Hitler following the familiar schedule. But Germany was now at war with Britain and France, and the dictator's travel arrangements had changed. Hitler had originally considered cancelling his appearance, then decided to deliver a shorter speech before returning to Berlin by train rather than using his usual timetable.
On November 8, Hitler addressed the audience but concluded earlier than Elser had anticipated. He and other leading Nazis departed the building around 9:07 p.m. At approximately 9:20, Elser's bomb exploded. The blast demolished the speaker's platform area and caused part of the ceiling to collapse. Eight people died and sixty-three were injured, according to the German Historical Museum. Hitler and the senior figures who had accompanied him were already gone. The attempt had failed not because the device malfunctioned or because security officers discovered it, but because the intended target had changed his schedule and left before the explosion.

@LilitThyra Quatsch! Die AfD möchte uns schwächen und uns dann an Rußland verkaufen.
Nach Nazismus und Kommunismus, ist die AfD die unbewältigte Vergangenheit.
Putin has the blood of thousands of Ukrainians on his hands as well that of brave Russian dissidents. The United States government has become a propaganda wing of the Kremlin.
🇩🇪🇪🇺 AfD is the greatest threat facing Europe.
Leaving the euro and the EU would plunge Germany into a deep economic crisis.
A Berlin–Moscow axis would threaten Poland and the rest of Eastern Europe.
It would dismantle the European unity that has helped preserve peace since WWII.
AfD could undo everything Europe has achieved.
22 October 1943 | The number of women prisoners in the Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp, in all-female sub-camps and the experimental station of Prof. Carl Clauberg was 33,649 prisoners.
During a selection that took place on that day, 1,260 women were selected (394 of them at the camp hospital). They were all murdered in a gas chamber on the same day.
