Conservative candidate for South Wales Police & Crime Commissioner. Promoted by Rebekah Fudge on behalf of George Carroll, both of CCHQ Wales, Cardiff CF14 5DU
Building social capital is crucial to making our country a better place for us all.
One of the best things about being a councillor is the opportunity to get our whole village involved with getting things done.
By building strong communities, we’ll build a stronger nation.
Our Llandough community litter pick on Saturday was a great success.
It reminded me of the work the guys @lfg_uk did clearing graffiti from tube carriages.
Looking forward to joining them @LFG_SouthWales tomorrow.
This afternoon, @CllrRhysThomas and I lent a hand at the Penarth Poppy Caravan.
The @PoppyLegion does so much vital work supporting current and ex-servicemen and women and their families.
It was really heartening to see people give so generously all afternoon.
Great afternoon out delivering our newsletter in the village.
When I first started, I delivered the whole village myself.
But now we’ve built a strong team who all do their bit to help.
Many hands make light work!
Our campaigning for @Tomos_Llewelyn for the Splott by-election.
Tom’s passion for the area received warm praise, but there was plenty of anger at Labour’s decision to scrap Winter Fuel Payments.
When they’re putting 36 more politicians in the Senedd, this cannot be justified.
Good luck to Martin Newell, Welsh Conservative candidate in today’s by-election in Monmouth.
It was great to pop up a few times over the course of the campaign to lend Martin a hand!
Our campaigning with the team in Pengam Green this morning.
Residents are backing our campaign against Labour’s cruel decision to scrap Winter Fuel Payments for vulnerable pensioners.
As long as we remain a member of the ECHR, we cannot end illegal migration or remove dangerous foreign criminals from our country.
Do you think we should leave or remain in the ECHR?👇

Outstanding speech from @RobertJenrick.
The clear commitment that our Party must change was welcome.
But crucially, he understands exactly where we went wrong, and how to put it right.
To win back the public’s trust on immigration, a credible plan is required.
Out delivering our community newsletter this evening 🗞️
It’s a real team effort making sure everyone in our community is kept up to date.
Our communities are the building blocks from which our country is made.
If we build strong communities we’ll build a stronger nation 💪
I was also shocked by a Labour councillor’s attempts to defend calls to defund the police.
This is deeply concerning.
Aligning with extreme organisations is obviously and clearly wrong.
But it’ll also distract the Council from the core services it exists to provide. (3)
Vale Conservative councillors oppose Labour’s application to obtain “county of sanctuary” status.
We have many concerns about the organisations involved.
I recently raised these concerns with the Council’s Leader. (1)
As part of its application, the Council has pledged to support Black Lives Matter.
On its own website, this organisation has called for the defunding of the police.
Yet the Leader dismissed this as a “spurious allegation” and said the organisation has her support. (2)
Great to head up to Monmouth to lend a hand to @WelshConserv candidate Martin Newell for the upcoming council by-election.
There’s nothing more valuable in politics than getting out and speaking to the public.
It really helps you understand things from others’ points of view.
As a community, we take pride in our village.
This morning, we came together to help out at Llandough Community Council’s litter pick.
Thank you to everyone who gave up their time, it’s made a big difference 💪
The Llantwit Major community oppose the Eagleswell development. They’re even challenging it in court. But the local council’s Labour leader says they “embraced” the scheme. When representatives take such an out of touch approach, communities lose faith. https://t.co/WkyPov3WCr
Our community newsletter keeps everyone in our village up to date. Thanks to our community spirit, many people in our village help. It’s a team effort! Great evening out dropping off walk routes to volunteers to deliver. Strong social capital brings many benefits: this is one.
