@maci_mach That is awful. I was told by someone in a bar once that Italy was great for ADHD. I should have done my research lol. Do you have ADHD? If so I really hope you manage to get some treatment. It's such a scandal that it isn't treated seriously.

@Paul_McCreesh @ianpacemain Lol I'm stealing that that Which? line. Things like the Presto Music 'award winning' recordings search filter are very useful for the uninitiated though. I often point people towards that. Tbf many of your recordings fall under that filter!

@ianpacemain The Suzuki/Bach Collegium Japan recording is very good too. For me the opening chorus is the one 'track' I always recommend to people who ask me where to start with Bach. I send them the Gardiner recording and the Suzuki recording.

It's a hair raising moment for me. Note the rhythmic vitality in the passages preceding it. He does Triumphant music better than anyone imo. First rec I linked (newer one) is better RE rhythmic vitality

@sahanisikwriter RE the Beethoven line listen to what he does with "I will sing unto the lord" in the final chorus (listen to whole chorus don't just skip otherwise it won't work emotionally) there's two Gardiner recs:
