Today, I'm at @Museum_Cardiff for the @SocMusArch annual conference, giving a paper with @annarobsonarch on early career perspectives in the heritage, museum and archaeology sectors and suggestions and ideas for real and deliverable change.
And it's over!! This afternoon's sessions (by @amwillemsen1 , @earlymedieval , @Rory_Naismith , and Chris Scull) offered a wonderful range of research to ponder, and various discussions around metal detecting and archaeology were really thought-provoking too!
At the British Museum today for the @findsorguk/@SocMedArch conference! I really enjoyed this morning's papers, especially @papgleeson on multi-period places in Ireland and @Julian62523002 on the artefactual 'signature' of the Viking Great Army! Looking forward to this afternoon!
Not only is the YAC fun but it has huge educational and wellbeing benefits for its members.
Obviously I knew this but it's fantastic to be able to demonstrate it to the wider world so convincingly!! 🤩🥳
