Today’s media environment in a nutshell:
The original poster — if it’s even a real person — didn’t know I haven’t worked at ESPN since 2018. I clearly responded with sarcasm.
This tweet gets millions of views, and the comments are completely overrun with bots.
And now there are several AI-generated/aggregated websites “reporting” that I resigned from ESPN on Twitter yesterday.
This is why telling people to Google information doesn’t work.
How have I not seen this angle yet. I just spent minutes watching this clip on repeat, shifting from the reactions from Clement to Hoffman to Ebel to Ohtani. Incredible.
Zach Neto said he got out of his slump after opening Pokémon cards with Mike Trout pregame to get his mind off things. He packed a Charizard card and Trout told him the box of cards would bring them homers. And they both went deep tonight and Trout hugged Neto after his homer.
“We need Greenland for national security”
“We need Greenland for natural resources”
“Greenland is in our backyard”
“The people of Greenland aren’t governed well”
Now replace “Greenland” with “Crimea” and you have Kremlin talking points about Ukraine.
This is a problem.
To pay homage to Kobe and Gigi Bryant, who would’ve been in her freshman year at UConn, USC and UConn players are all wearing different pairs of Kobe’s for today’s game.
you think IOWA is a home field advantage? get ready to learn DJ MALSKI, buddy. he will prick and prod your brain until it's numb, and then he'll ask the question: WILL SOMEBODY SCREEEEAAAMM?
Welcome to hell, Iowa. Welcome to hell. ✌🏻
If the Rays gave Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow what they wanted, they wouldn’t be Dodgers
If the Red Sox gave Mookie what he wanted, he wouldn’t be a Dodger
If the Angels gave Ohtani what he wanted, he wouldn’t be a Dodger
If the Braves gave Freddie Freeman what he wanted, he wouldn’t be a Dodger
Cheap owners created the environment for a super team like the Dodgers to exist. Salary cap doesn’t stop those owners from being cheap.
