🚨 JUST IN: Manchester United are sticking to their decision not to extend Casemiro's contract, which expires at the end of the season, as part of a squad overhaul - no reversal despite his recent form.

The club is targeting Premier League proven midfielders as replacements, with a list including: Baleba, Wharton, Tonali, Alex Scott & Elliot Anderson (though a move to Manchester City looks more likely). United prefer players proven in the Premier League who can hit the ground running, potentially signing two - such as a big move for Baleba or Tonali plus depth like Scott.

Casemiro, now 34, is seen as not the future for the club, with experts noting his superb current play is limited to one game a week and high wages make extension unviable long-term. He is destined for MLS or Saudi Pro League.
