5/ What's next?
We will be sending our MVPs their NFTs in 24 hours. We will continue to build @MEMELAND with our MVPs and community. We will be resuming our MEMELIST contests and giveaways. If you want to join our journey, please stay tuned.
4.3/ Btw, 100% of rug pull projects have a website, most are indeed very well made. Only time will tell if a project is a rug. @9GAG has 14 years of track record, and millions of users. We are gonna stay and build, whether there is FUD or FOMO, whether the market is good or bad.
4.2/ Some people FUD us because we ask people to send ETH to a wallet address. If you FUD a project only because it doesn't use a mint site, you are NGMI. We understand that not every project can have the trust we have as we are a fully doxxed team behind @9GAG. Not some randos.
4.1/ Why no mint website?
A meaning of the name MVP is "Minimum Viable Product". We want to see if we could launch fast without a website, because a website would probably take another week. More importantly, as mentioned, we are lazy AF and we don't want to do extra work.
3.4/ We believe the majority of our community will keep their promise. We believe what we are building is very valuable. We are also lazy AF as we don't want to do extra work to explain and refund. In retrospective, there is a lot of room for improvement but we have no regrets.
3.3/ While the market started to crash, there were many suggestions from our community on how to move forward with the MVP launch. In the end, we decided to go ahead with the price because we don't want to send a wrong message that we would change price in order to maximize gain.
3.2/ Fortunately, we are blessed to have the support of our passionate community, and many strong communities that @9gagceo is in, including but not limited to @GutterCatGang, @KaijuKingz, @moonbirds. They put their trust in @MEMELAD despite the bad market conditions.
3.1/ Why 5.3 ETH?
We didn't set the price. It's a price set by a blind auction in our Discord. It's unfortunate that the auction result was announced right before the market started to crash. Some people couldn't honor their bids and many people online started to FUD.
2.2/ The main collection of @MEMELAND requires careful planning as it has an ambitious mission to empower creators by connecting web2 and web3 communities. Launching MVP first can help us get the most important resources—not the ETH, but a group of true believers who has a stake.
2.1/ Why MVP collection?
When we were at @ycominbinator, we learned that a great startup must build something people want, find 10-100 customers who love your product, talk to users, and more.
MVP is a great way for us to do all of the above. A price tag is a great filter too.
