Over 3 million Armenians, Greeks, Assyrians, Yazidis, and Maronites were killed by the Ottoman Turks.
This is what an actual genocide looks like. Not whatever people are calling a genocide today.
111 years ago, 1.5 million Armenians were killed - starved, tortured, and murdered.
37 countries recognise this as genocide. The UK still does not. It’s time we did.

Peak year: 1915
This was not spontaneous brutality.
This was a deliberate, organized campaign of extermination carried out by the Turkish Ottoman Empire. 💔
Christians — Armenians, Assyrians, Greeks, and Maronites — were systematically targeted. 🕯️
Men were separated and executed. ⚔️
Women were violated.
Children were left to die. 🥀
Families were driven on death marches into deserts without food or water. 🏜️
Streets ran red with blood.
Wells were filled with the bodies of the dead.
Women and children were abducted.
Churches were desecrated and burned. ⛪🔥
Clergy were tortured and executed.
Entire communities were destroyed.
Over 3.5 million Christians were killed. 💔
