The injury crises was very real! Spurs wouldn’t have finished where they did for two seasons in a row if it weren’t for injuries. The league had their chance to get rid of us. Won’t happen again now.

A simple three-leg builder that combines Belgium’s quality with two player lines that stand out.

Tielemans is always capable of having a pop from distance and only needs a single effort to land his leg. Whether it’s from open play or a set piece, he regularly gets himself into shooting positions.

Doku remains one of the most dangerous dribblers in international football. Defenders struggle to contain him when he runs directly at them, and two fouls won is a line he can cover quickly if he gets plenty of touches in attacking areas.

The final leg is simply Belgium to get the job done. On paper they have the stronger squad and should create enough chances to come away with all three points.

Spain should dominate possession and territory in this one, making the half-time lead angle particularly appealing. The quality gap between the two sides is significant and I expect Spain to start fast.

Jamiro Monteiro’s tackle line also stands out. Cape Verde are likely to spend long periods without the ball, which should naturally increase his defensive involvement and give him opportunities to get over the line, he’s know for getting stuck in.

Mikel Oyarzabal remains one of Spain’s biggest goal threats and only needs one moment in the final third to get on the scoresheet. With the amount of chances Spain are expected to create, I’m happy to side with him finding the net.
