George Forsters Bench Update ♥️
Received these pictures from David Ogilvie Engineering Ltd today!!
Only a few finishing touches needed then it will be heading to the Stadium of Light ♥️ Thank you again to everyone who contributed.. it’s really special x
Im absolutely honoured to be the first ever recipient of the George Forster Memorial Award 🥰
This award means George will play his part in the BLC supporters awards for years to come
He’d be so proud thanks to everyone who made it happen & kept it a secret from me 🥲❤️
So proud the Club has agreed for George’s memorial bench to be placed on the back wall of the new memorial garden, facing the Stadium
His ashes will be laid in its foundation, meaning he’ll be there looking up at the place he loved so much, with the fans he cared so much for ❤️
Almost time for our International fans party at @FansMuseum to kickoff International fans weekend 2026, the 1st without George! He loved being in the thick of it hearing the stories from all of our fellow Supporters from around the globe! I’m sure he’ll be with us this weekend
Who knew that Ratty, Mole, Toad & Badger are Sunderland fans?
If they’re not at the game they are listening to @Tweed_Barnesy & @benno_4
The Atlas Theatre Company production of Willows on the Wear will be in schools in June ..the kids are putting their all in (so is Barnesy)😂
It truly is a fitting tribute. The statue of #JimmyMontgomery will stand proudly outside the Stadium of Light, immortalising the moment of his legendary double-save during the 1973 FA Cup Final, proudly opposite Legend Bob Stokoe 🙌🏼
Thisas made my year ❤️ https://t.co/nr33NTKmPz
What Sunderland and the Derby means to a 93-year-old and a 10-year-old 😍 absolutely wonderful watching George’s Friend Rosemary, a 93-year-old die hard season ticket holder recording a piece for the club ❤️ 💋
