You can be driven, motivated, passionate and have depression. You can be bubbly, vibrant and extroverted and have anxiety. The more we understand that mental health is separate from character, the less stigma there will be.
For those who don’t know, the @AOTInews have published the following: LGBT+ Awareness and Good Practice Guidelines for Occupational Therapists ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Currently, neither @theRCOT or @The_HCPC have any LGBTQIA+ good practice guidelines…

If you're feeling a little anxious right now, try going through your senses:
Name...
1 thing you can taste
2 things you can smell
3 things you can hear
4 things you can touch
5 things you can see
Going through your senses can help ground you in this moment.
🗣️ "There is still much work to do in tackling stigma & discrimination within mental health services & wider society."

Rainbow fruit and skittle platter, rainbow cupcakes, singing and dancing to 90s songs, including la Macarena! 💃🏻 Even one of our med students joined in!
Looks like I missed a very good #Pride party yesterday!! 🏳️🌈

Focusing on getting outside more this month for #30DaysWild
This nature hunt was a fun way of getting us to look closer at all the beautiful colours around us ☘️🌸 🌼
We did cheat and use a bottle cap for the colour blue though 😆

It's more important than ever that LGBT+ young people can see positive representation so that they grow up knowing that being LGBT+ is nothing to be ashamed of🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
