[EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid 🇪🇺 @eu_echo]

This week teams from 🇦🇲, 🇨🇾, 🇫🇷, 🇬🇪, 🇬🇷, 🇲🇪 and 🇲🇰 gathered in Armenia for a civil protection exercise on the response to an earthquake.

Thanks to the #EUCivilProtection Mechanism, the HOPE exercise aims to improve the European preparedness and response capacities to disasters.

in the afternoon, Dr. Dimopoulos briefed arriving USAR Teams, as well as EUCP Team in the presence of the Health & Safety Evaluator Mr. @ppapazog Pierantonios Papazoglou. The status of the Exercise and explained the purpose of Evaluation activities was discussed with stakeholders

Later on the CERIDES Team joined all participants at the Base of Operations. Head Evaluator Dr. Christos Dimopoulos continuously managed and coordinated the activities of the 16-member Evaluation Team.
