Hi guys, Cornish organic beef farmer here, just for context, we are a small family farm, we have 4 generations living on the farm now and have been here since 1910. Due to the price of what we get and what it cost to produce, we don’t make real money we just about tread water financially, which we have accepted to maintain our way of life, Myself a 39 y/o father of two supports 3 households that of my parents and my grandmother all of which haven’t been able to make enough from their farming careers to allow them to semi-retire without support from the farm.

We are now facing selling everything when anything happens to my 93 year old nan who owns half the farm.
In the end I will be left with nothing, we will lose our homes, our past and our futures.

We changed the farm to farm in a more ecological way, which we wholeheartedly embraced believing we would be supported as it was in the public interest we efficiently produce highly nutritious yet low cost food for people.

We NEED all the support we can get
Sorry for the essay the but the government are trying to steal the essence of my existence, that sounds melodramatic but if you know true farmers you’ll know what I mean.

@thosethatcan 1 of 2 When I was 17 I worked in a well known sports shop. A women in her 40s came in and the shop was hammered. I got her the trainers she wanted and she asked for the RIGHT shoe to try on first. But as I gave it to her she shouted at me ‘are you stupid, that’s the left!
