@riversampler @DrJoGrady Not everyone can - but certainly nurses who start at 27k -which is 12% ABOVE the average starting salary for a graduate, should be able to cope. I can certainly live on that kind of money.
@riversampler @DrJoGrady A band 5 nurse, with no experience, STARTS on £27k a year. That's not underpaid. My GP friend jad paid off his student loan (£100k plus) by the time he was 32. Currently earns £80k a year as a salaried GP. Could earn more if he were to accept a partnership. That's not underpaid.
@JolyonMaugham @riversampler Which is why the councils should not be out sourcing. Provide your own service and save the public £52000 per year, per child. Simple economics.
We have 7 tickets for the polar express on wed 21 December. We are no longer able to go on that date but have our hearts set on taking the kids. Long shot but does anyone have tickets for another day that might be willing to swap? We contacted polar express but not had any luck
@DrWaheedArian@KathLavery Problem is that you're very much in the minority. A huge proportion of "refugees" will never make a positive contribution to society.
@AACE_org@KathLavery The problem with being stuck outside the front door is caused by no one leaving by the back door. Hospitals and the Ambulance service aren't the problem - it's the lack of social/community care, there's no longer the possibility for the private sector to make a profit.
@JoshBlinman The procedure is, first- the police ensure the area is safe for medical enter. 2nd, the first paramedic on scene doesn't treat but triages. The last thing that's needed is medics rushing in with a secondary bomb or active shooter at large. Hindsight is a perfect science...
@DeborahMeaden @riversampler The protesters right to protest does not extend to denying people the right to get to medical appointments, access educational establishments and get to work on time. If they're so convinced the majority agree with them, standing for election should pose no problems.
@alfiemoore The UK is 87% white British - true equality would have 87% white CEO's. Given that we're only talking 100 people from about 70 million, I'd say that's within the statistical error range.
