I joined X after being inspired by @kevinxu and the way he publicly documented his investment journey.
I’m a business owner and long-term investor with experience across dividend stocks, individual equities, options, real estate, precious metals, and Bitcoin.
I started this page with a separate $7,000 account to test a simple idea: can disciplined research, concentrated conviction, and proper risk management outperform over time?
I’ll share the analysis, decisions, wins, losses, and lessons openly.
Real capital. No hindsight. Full accountability.
Welcome to the $7K Challenge.
Stop loss is in on $MRNA.
$135 on all 54 shares. If it gets hit, proceeds should be around $7,290 and the account should still sit near $7,400—above the original $7K.
Giving this trade room, but I’m not averaging down or moving the stop lower. #7KChallenge
Move made.
Put the 7K Challenge account into $MRNA.
54 shares at $151.55
Position: $8,183.70
Account: $8,299.17
The Phase 3 melanoma win changed the story. High-risk momentum trade.
Stop: $135
Watching $159.50, then $174–176.
$7K Challenge tonight:
Still sitting on $8,297.32 in cash after the $AMKR stop triggered.
With $NVDA earnings and Jackson Hole ahead, I’m not forcing a trade. Watching $ACN, $PWR and $EMR.
Up 18.5% so far. Protect the win, then attack the next setup.
My stop-loss on $AMKR triggered at around $55 today, automatically selling all 151 shares for $8,297.32.
Now I’m back in cash with three candidates on my watchlist for the next move. No rush—cash is a position too. 👀📈
@BBG824 Probably not. Not because I'm bearish short term on the stock but the goal on this particular account is to see where I can find the best place to have all the money on at any given time. I do own it in a Roth IRA which I plan to hold beyond 28-29
High probability we rotate out of $AMKR this week.
The position has treated us well, but this challenge isn’t about getting emotionally attached to a stock. It’s about putting the $7K into the setup with the best risk/reward.
If I find something I like more, we may sell $AMKR and go all-in on the next one.
Already digging. 👀

@Mushu_Shrimp I'm actually going all in on one stock for the 7k challenge each time. What I'm is doing trying to find the stocks that are worth to be all in at that moment. That being said to Roblox is a candidate for sure but I'm still all in on $AMKR
Why is $RBLX still on our watchlist after its earnings collapse?
Because underneath the disappointing guidance, Roblox still owns one of the largest and most engaged interactive platforms in the world.
The latest quarter showed:
• Revenue growth of approximately 36%
• 123M daily active users, up 10%
• 29B hours engaged
• Free cash flow of $294M, up 66%
• $6.1B in cash and investments
The long-term opportunity is bigger than children purchasing Robux.
Roblox wants to become a global platform where users play, socialize, create, advertise and eventually shop. Growth among older users and international markets could significantly expand its addressable market and monetization potential.
But the risks are real.
Bookings growth slowed to 8%, management expects bookings to decline next quarter, the company remains unprofitable under GAAP, and new age-verification, safety and discovery changes are creating friction.
That means $RBLX is not on the watchlist because the stock dropped.
It is there because expectations have been reset while the platform continues generating users, engagement and cash.
Before entering, I want evidence that bookings are stabilizing and that management’s changes are improving retention without permanently damaging monetization.
Higher risk than $NFLX—but potentially much greater upside if execution recovers.
Watchlist candidate. Not yet a conviction position.

Rotation watchlist for the $7K Challenge 👀
If we move out of $AMKR, these are the 3 names I’m watching hardest:
$EMR — best overall setup
$PWR — strongest growth/momentum story
$ACN — the contrarian value/reversal play
Not forcing anything. $AMKR has treated us well.
But if one of these gives us a better risk/reward setup, I’m willing to rotate the whole account.

Curious if $AMKR is on your radar. I’ve been digging into it lately and think the packaging/testing side of the semiconductor boom is being overlooked. Would be interested to see you break this one down. 👀
@HolySmokas
At a true 20% compounded every week, $7,000 gets to about $4.96M after 36 weeks and $5.95M after 37 weeks.
Obviously, nobody should expect 20% every single week consistently—but that actually gives us a good angle for the post: enjoy the win without pretending it’s sustainable.
> One week in and we’re sitting around +19%.
Just for fun: if someone could actually compound 20% every week, $7,000 turns into $5M in about 36–37 weeks 😂
Obviously that’s not the expectation.
The goal is just to keep finding good setups, protect the downside and see how far we can take this account.
$AMKR +19% so far.

Crazy market.
Jobs came in weak and the market still ripped because everyone immediately started thinking less Fed pressure.
S&P at a record, Nasdaq up strong.
I’m bullish, but I’m still not chasing anything here. We keep looking for the right setup.

A lot of money is betting against the Japanese yen right now—and the thesis makes sense.
But I’m not betting against Japan.
Sometimes the most obvious trade is also the most crowded one. 🇯🇵

Day 8 of the $7K Challenge 📈
$AMKR closed at $54.16, putting us about +16.8% above our $46.36 entry while the market finished red.
$DDOG falling 19% after earnings was today’s reminder: expectations matter.
Conviction gets you in. Risk management keeps you alive. #7KChallenge
Why is $NFLX on the $7K Challenge watchlist?
Because Netflix is no longer simply a subscriber-growth story. It has developed into a highly profitable global entertainment platform.
The latest numbers:
• Revenue increased 13% to $12.6B
• Operating margin reached 33.4%
• 2026 free cash flow is projected near $12.5B
• Advertising revenue is expected to roughly double to $3B
• Management continues aggressively repurchasing shares
The next phase could come from advertising, pricing power, live events, gaming and better monetization of its enormous global audience.
The risk is that Netflix must continually spend on content while competing for consumers’ time against YouTube, social media, gaming and other streaming platforms. Growth is also naturally slowing as the company becomes larger.
But near 23x reported earnings, the valuation is becoming interesting for a business with strong margins, recurring revenue and substantial cash generation.
$NFLX is not necessarily the explosive trade we chase at any price.
It is a quality-growth candidate we want ready when the market gives us an attractive entry.
Watching closely—not buying blindly.

Today was exactly why we stay positioned—but also why we stay disciplined.
The S&P 500 reached another record, the Nasdaq jumped 2.6%, and semiconductors surged more than 6%.
Our 151-share $AMKR position closed at $55.87—up 9.9% today and approximately 20.5% above our $46.36 average. That puts the $7K Challenge roughly $1,436 ahead on the position.
I’m raising the stop to $50.
That guarantees this successful trade cannot become a loss while still giving $AMKR enough room to handle normal volatility. The thesis remains intact: record Q2 revenue, improving margins, and growing demand for advanced semiconductor packaging.
After a move like today, I’m not chasing green candles. The watchlist:
• $ACN — quality technology exposure at a reasonable valuation
• $UNP — a defensive railroad compounder if the market cools
• $AMD — outstanding AI and data-center growth, but only on a pullback
Great day—but no victory laps.
Protect the capital. Let the winner work. Patiently wait for the next opportunity.

$AMKR update: $7K account is now $8,394—up 19.92%, including +9.34% today. Buyers are stepping back in after the post-earnings selloff. I’m raising my stop from $45.50 to $49.80, above my $46.36 cost basis, protecting about $512 while still giving the trade room. #7KChallenge
@vulturetrades Love the energy. I’m running my own $7K Challenge over at @georgiesinvest—real account, real trades, and full transparency. Different starting point, same goal: grow it through disciplined decisions. Let’s see what August brings 🤝📈
