@SleeperYankees Tough to say that when we’re 6.5GB in our own division, it’d be like saying CHC or SD are favorites to win the NL.
We’re counting on a ton of “ifs” which means a ton of things would have to go our way in order to win. So FALSE, I’d love to, but is more hope than trust honestly

@WFAN660 @craigcartonlive Cashman got even more exposed yesterday for not getting a C (among other positions) bc now on Boone has to be aware he can’t PH for Wells early in games, bc then Sanchez would have to hit later in the game maybe with a game on the line, exactly like happened yesterday 🤦‍♂️

@GarysheffieldJr I would’ve tried to trade Jazz to SD for a RP and open up room for Arraez, Jazz turned into worst than a platoon guy. And a C, bc now on Boone can’t PH for Wells early in games bc Sanchez would have to hit later. 3B also a need. Don’t buy that whole “market didn’t go our way”💩

@GarysheffieldJr Eventually, yes, for now, I wouldn’t do it.
Let him adjust for like 1-2 weeks first, remember he’s facing nastier pitches & more experienced P capable of throwing any pitch on any count. There has to be a learning curve, then yeah, he could hit 1-2 in the order perfectly

I don’t rant about not overpaying for Rutschman or Hicks (platoon C anyways) but Cashman at least should’ve gotten Torrens or someone better.
Now Boone has to be aware he can’t PH for Wells early in the game, bc there will be another AB & Sanchez would have to hit

@TalkinYanks @JackCurryYES It’s great for all parties whatever happens: if he rakes & boosts our lineup, will be great; if he gets overmatched by MLB pitching, then he’ll have a full offseason to go back to the drawing board & make the adjustments to get ready for next opportunity.

You want Judge, Ohtani, Acuña Jr, Skubal, etc having multiple versions bc you can’t come up with anything else at mid season? Mid IMO

@TalkinJake Trading bullpen depth to create room on the roster for the RP/CP we didn’t get, so we have to pitch mid/unproven guys in high leverage spots when have a lead, that’s what we’re doing 🤦‍♂️

I’d mention the Braves too, they have a great lineup, they hit a lot, have very good defense OVR & still didn’t get good SP or RP, basically minor moves like a 4-5th SP or so. They should’ve done more.
Also MIL, missing on Skubal to pair him with Miz was brutal

@DaddyDimmuTv Reports said he has terrible defensive metrics & NYY value defense over hitting at C, but yeah, although I didn’t love trading for him, I would’ve taken my chances with him at least as insurance policy while injured players return when you can sacrifice some offense in the lineup

@TalkinYanks I hope they won’t “Yankeed” him too soon with all their hitting philosophy 💩 that basically turns most players into a whiff machine looking for HR.
Pitching philosophy and coaches are top notch, but hitting coaches/metrics/approaches besides Judge & Rice are……

If García Jr performs as plan like David Justice 2.0 & Jazz keeps doing nothing, they’ll have to play him at 2B at some point, I don’t what they said.
I may believe Rice isn’t playing C at this point of season, hope they won’t have to do it when it’s 2 late

That’s why they should’ve thought about it before giving him the Summer series since ANY CASUAL fan knew there was a big chance he was gonna be the biggest piece dealt on the DL. Like they do with POTM or other series to “save” names for later on when it really matters

He can’t hold on to this prospects bc probably he won’t be in BOS longer if they keep losing. Cash is chilling
