A CORRUPTION STAMP AT ENTEBBE AIRPORT

A traveller at Entebbe Airport three weeks ago was asked to pay Ugx 400,000 to be allowed to fly. A @UgandaCAA @mia_uga stamped note addressed to another staff member was issued, effectively authorising the corruption. When we raised @ClaireNamara12 's case, the airport attempted to portray it as an isolated or personal matter, yet corruption at the airport appears to be institutional, involving senior management.

Reading this chit, it is clear that a superior officer was directing PAX a junior staff member to receive a bribe and act according to the victim’s demands. WHO IS PAX AND WHAT'S IS CLEARANCE FEEE??
We now call for a public investigation into corruption at the airport, and unless those involved are interdicted, we shall continue to uncover and expose these corrupt actors.
We are also waiting for the names of the four corrupt tellers who demanded 100 dollars from us on Thursday morning.

We remain committed to fighting for a corruption-free country.
